2023 Ford F-150 vs 2023 Toyota Tundra Dothan, AL
Perhaps the only step you have to take before continuing your purchase is to decide on a full-size pickup truck. We’re able to gather different features of the 2023 Ford F-150 and 2023 Toyota Tundra, and show you why you should pick the former auto in our summary. If you have a few questions about what we’ll discuss below, enlighten us at Gilland Ford and you’ll soon receive your answers.
Performance
Don’t be concerned about other motorists gaining the lead in Dothan, because you’ll be able to receive more momentum with the 2023 Ford F-150. This is due to its 3.5L V6 engine paired with the Raptor® iteration that brings about 450 horsepower1 and 510 lb.-ft. of torque1. Moreover, its rival’s optional 3.4L twin-turbo V6 engine doesn’t reach as much power as the Ford with its 389 horsepower and 479 lb.-ft. of torque. There is a considerable difference in pulling abilities with each vehicle, since the F-150 has a 14,000-lb. maximum towing capacity2. But, the Tundra is weaker, because it can only handle a 12,000-lb. maximum pulling capacity3. There is a tie between the two vehicles regarding their abilities to turn the engine off. The Ford carries a standard Auto Start-Stop Technology4 and the Tundra has a standard Stop and Start Engine version5. Lastly, the Ford has a higher 3,310-lb. maximum payload capacity6 compared to the lower 1,940-lb. maximum payload limit7 of the Toyota model.
Interior
We’ll now bring the interior features of both the 2023 F-150 and the 2023 Tundra before you in this description. The Toyota Audio Multimedia feature of the Tundra has a standard 8-inch touchscreen, which is the same size as the Ford’s standard capacitive display. But, we’ll see that there are features found on the XL starting trim level of the Ford that the SR base level confiugrations of the Tundra fails to have. An 8-way driver's chair is offered as an optional feature with the Ford XL as the starting trim for there to be endless relaxation while you’re sitting inside. However, all versions of the SR starting version of the Tundra don’t offer this feature. There are also 66.7 inches of front shoulder room in the Ford, but don’t expect to have as much space with the Tundra only giving you 65 inches of front shoulder room. Also, the optional dual-zone automatic climate control system can be used by you and the copilot for premium comfort with the XL trim, but not with the SR iterations of the Toyota.
Exterior
Finally, we’ll zoom in on the outer shell of both competitors. LED tail lamps are standard with the Tundra and beam brightly to catch the gaze of other drivers, but are optional on the Ford model. The F-150 can outshine in other respects related to the outer shell, since the XL base trim can give optional side mirrors with integrated turn signals for an extra warning sign for drivers to know if you’re moving left or right. But, the Tundra’s base SR configurations do not offer turning indicators. The F-150 can bring you plenty of height with the optional 20-inch wheels that can be paired to the starting trim level of this vehicle. However, you can only have standard 18-inch wheels on the lowest version of the Toyota. Lastly, the former beginning trim version of the F-150 has an optional 400W outlet, but the bed-mounted AC power outlet of the Toyota is missing in the base trim, so you can’t count on having this available if you were to choose the SR trim.
