A Closer Look at the 2015 Ford Explorer

The 2015 Ford Explorer is available in four distinct trim levels. In addition to this, a variety of packages can be equipped to the trims. Let?s examine each trim a bit more closely:

  • The base Explorer offers cruise control, a rear privacy glass, 50/50-split third-row seats, air conditioning, a 60/40-split second-row seat, a 4.2-inch display screen, roof rails, full power accessories, a CD player, automatic headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, a six-speaker sound system, and an auxiliary audio jack.
  • The XLT trim offers fog lights, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, Bluetooth®* phone and audio connectivity, a keyless entry code pad, upgraded brakes, a USB port, a six-way power front passenger seat, satellite radio, and rear parking sensors.
  • The XLT can be equipped with a variety of packages. The 201A Package adds a nine-speaker sound system, a rearview camera, and dual-zone automatic climate control. The Driver Connect package comes with an SD card reader, an 8-inch touchscreen display, two USB ports, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and upgraded Sync functionality.The 202A Package offers all of the equipment from the 201A package, plus leather upholstery, an eight-way power driver seat with power-adjustable lumbar, and heated front seats. An Appearance Package can also be added which provides unique floor mats, 20-inch alloy wheels, and more.
  • Drivers who choose the Limited trim will receive a 12-speaker Sony sound system as well as power-adjustable pedals, a 110-volt power outlet, 20-inch wheels, keyless ignition and entry, driver memory settings, HD radio, remote engine start, and the XLT 202A?s features.
  • There are two packages available for the Limited. A 301A package adds a power liftgate, a navigation system, a heated and power tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, and ventilated front seats. A 302A Package provides lane-keeping assist, an automatic parallel-parking system, rear cross-traffic alert, xenon headlights, automatic high-beam control, automatic windshield wipers, and more.
  • The top trim, the Sport, gets you front sport seats and a sport-tuned suspension. A 401A package comes with a navigation system, a power liftgate, driver memory settings, a 110-volt outlet, and more.
