Drivers have a few different options when it comes to engine choice for the Escape. For starters, there’s a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 168 hp and 170 lb-ft of torque. This engine is offered with the base S trim and comes paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and is front-wheel drive. Secondly, there’s a turbocharged 1.5-liter engine that generates 179 hp and 177 lb-ft of torque. This engine is offered with the SE trim level. Lastly, drivers can choose a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 245 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. This engine comes with the top trim, the Titanium.
